Each exhibitor was given a book at random from the second-hand book shop Main Point Books and was asked to produce an illustration and bookmark to go with it. My book was William Golding's The Inheritors (which I did not like...at ALL.)

Pop!
Here are the two illustrations I produced for our first proper brief in 4th year. We were each given a quote and then had to choose another ourselves then illustrate them in black and white.
Quote 1: "Other people are quite dreadful. The only possible society is oneself." - Oscar Wilde
Quote 2: "Any idiot can face a crisis- it is day to day living that wears you out." - Anton Chekhov
