IF: Teacher

This week I've been drawing these characters, called Rosie and Russell. I usually draw animal characters but I designed Rosie and Russell in my final year at ECA to show that I can draw child characters too. I wanted to use them for this week's Illustration Friday but the word "teacher" made it a bit tricky since they are too young for school! So the link might be a bit precarious but here is Rosie teaching Russell how to share!

Little Bird is printed!

A very exciting day for me today... Little Bird is now printed and bound! Here's a little sneaky peek at the cover. You can see the book at the eca Degree Show which opens on 2nd June!

I've been making good progress with 'Little Bird' recently, amongst everything else that needs to be done in the final couple of stressful months of 4th year! Here are some of the other characters from the book... These guys have been really fun to draw!

 

Finally...

At last, after months of planning and several dummy books, I'm making a start on finals for 'Little Bird'- my major project children's book for my Degree Show! I'm working mainly in watercolours with ink but also with some screenprinted elements. Each spread will be put together on Photoshop. Here is one of my favourite images of Little Bird so far. Hope you like her!
