Exhibition at The Water of Leith Cafe Bistro

My work is on show til 9th October. It's a great space and as a bonus the menu is fantastic and the owners Ana and Mickael are lovely! Here's a peek at what's on show but I would definitely recommend going to visit and maybe having a cake or two :)

Rosie and Russell character development

Here are some more of the sketches I've been doing of Rosie and Russell this week...

IF: Teacher

This week I've been drawing these characters, called Rosie and Russell. I usually draw animal characters but I designed Rosie and Russell in my final year at ECA to show that I can draw child characters too. I wanted to use them for this week's Illustration Friday but the word "teacher" made it a bit tricky since they are too young for school! So the link might be a bit precarious but here is Rosie teaching Russell how to share!

Illustrate It

I have entered a competition to illustrate a new children's picture book, called 'The Incredible Chapore'. To enter I had to read the story (aimed at 3-7 year olds) and design a front cover for it. Here is what I came up with...

The first round is decided by the public through online votes and a winner is then chosen by the judges from the three most popular entries.
